Sarah established her business in 1996, following a successful career in marketing communications. A wordsmith, thinker, lifelong learner and communicator, she works with clients to research, measure and evaluate, providing clear, meaningful direction.
The journey has been varied. She graduated from Hull University with a BA Hons in Linguistics and moved into a marketing communications role with an agency specialising in the business-to-business field. Subsequently relocating to York to take up a role in financial services marketing with a large blue-chip firm, she developed and produced large-scale marketing communications both to the adviser market and direct to clients.
Hankering to spread her wings, she moved into consultancy, developing a passion for research, and moved to leafy Harrogate.
Sarah has worked with sectors including: heritage, charities, not-for-profit, education, training and employment, government, disability, professional and financial services, construction and pharma. Sarah has personally conducted research with a wide range of individuals including children, young people and the vulnerable, and holds enhanced DBS clearance.
Her philosophy is one of flexibility, responsiveness, good humour and a high degree of communication, getting to understand not only the task, but the psychology of the people involved. Research and evaluation are ultimately about the state of being human, and our desires and fears.
Sarah holds professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Market Research Society as well as a Diploma in Psychology and Neurolinguistic Programming. She can call on a team of highly experienced associates, who contribute to projects depending on the expertise required.
She enjoys music, the arts, built and natural heritage, languages, animals and wildlife.
